Peabody Renaissance Ensemble at Museo de las Casas Reales

Friday, February 15, 2019 • 8:30 p.m.

Playing instruments modeled from the Renaissance Era, this acclaimed early music ensemble from Johns Hopkins University's Peabody Conservatory of Music returns to the Colonial City. Two vocalists are joined by violin, recorder, lute, Renaissance guitar, harp percussion, and bass viol in a program of music from the Colonial Era.

Enjoy a program of music from the 15th - 17th Centuries in the private chapel of the Dávila family.  For this unforgettable experience the Peabody Conservatory is offering a program  that includes  French, English and Spanish solo and chamber works that were performed in similar European chapels during the Renaissance and Baroque Eras.

Celebrating the period when the Colonial City's buildings were rising, this concert features music from the German Baroque, Elizabethan England, Italian Renaissance, and Colonial Era Spain performed by Chicago's Axiom Brass and the twenty voices of Koribe.  An evening of pageantry and grandeur in an iconic setting of first city of the Western Hemisphere.
